Andrew Summerhayes loved watching speedway, the thrill of the chase was something he never expected to get to try for himself.

When the opportunity arose, he did a few seasons as a speedway sidecar passenger with a couple of mates before stepping away for a few years, until a call up from a local Victorian legend brought him back into the fold.

Teaming up with Warren Monson came naturally, though not always easily, but the pair had an unmatchable bond. In only their second season together they begun seeing great success and enjoying time together as close-knit team.

Since Warren’s tragic passing Andrew has not felt right racing, but has continued to be involved with the sport as the track maintenance expert and a race day official for Mildura Motorcycle Club.
